Fly Fishing

A fly fisherman making a stike on his line at a biting fish. Its really interesting when watching anglers, as you could wait all day for a bite. Then it happens all at once. To be able to put energy into my fishing paintings, it is always good to have my subject catching a fish. The only upside to perhaps a long wait. Is the beautiful scenery and country surroundings that most Fly Fishermen experience when out on a days fishing.

The most enjoyable part of this painting was adding the reflection to the river, its an exciting moment on a painting of fishing, as it is the finishing touch, and can make or break the end result.
