The New Forest Drift.
I won the New Forest open art competition with this painting. It depicts the New Forest Ponies being rounded up in the Forest. They are then corralled and their health, Pregnancies, hooves etc are checked, before they are released to roam the Forest again. Why this operation is called The Drift, I do not know. But I think it has history and nostalgia about it, and I really enjoyed painting this subject.
